Christmas shopping basket
🎄 Together we give children a wonderful Christmas! ❤️
During the Christmas holidays, the children of the Manguito School in Puerto Plata miss their daily warm school meal. That’s why we want to provide as many families as possible with a food basket containing basic products for several days. This way, they have enough to eat and can save money for other essential expenses.
❤️ Will you help? With your donation, we can ensure full plates during the Christmas days.
❤️ Together we make a difference, because every child deserves a little Christmas magic!
Christmas Grocery Basket 🎄
A filled grocery basket, one less worry!
Christmas is a time of warmth, togetherness, and enjoying each other's company. But for many families in the Dominican Republic, having enough food on the table during the holidays is not a given.
At the Manguito School in Puerto Plata, children receive a hot lunch on school days. During the Christmas holidays, this meal is no longer available. That’s why we want to make sure that our children and their families don’t have to go to bed hungry at Christmas.
A grocery basket full of warmth and love ❤️
Every year, we try to surprise as many families within our foundation as possible with a well-stocked grocery basket. These baskets contain basic products with which they can prepare meals for several days, possibly adding their own ingredients.
This way, we not only ensure full stomachs, but also give families a bit of financial breathing room. The money they save on daily groceries can be spent on something extra for Christmas, paying off outstanding bills, or other necessary expenses.
Together we make this possible
This project is made possible entirely by donations from kind people all over the world.
In November, we ask our school uniform sponsors if they would also like to donate a grocery basket to the family of the child they support. In addition, we make an appeal through our social media to collect as many extra donations as possible.
The more donations we receive, the more families we can help to have enough food on the table during the Christmas holidays.
