Donate and give a child a future

With your donation, a child in Puerto Plata can go to school. We personally buy everything together with the child — this way, you can be sure that your contribution is well spent.

Why your donation is needed

Education in the Dominican Republic is free, but a school uniform and school supplies are not. A complete package costs € 105 — about 40% of an average monthly salary. For many families, this is unaffordable, so children do not go to school.

Your donation goes directly to the projects. The board receives no compensation and we purchase all supplies ourselves, together with the children and their parents.

News overview

As a member, you support the foundation. With your annual contribution of € 25, you help cover organizational costs (bank fees, office expenses, website). This ensures that every donation can go 100% to the charities. You can cancel your membership at any time.

Sponsor a school package

Donate once a year (in July) €105 and cover the cost of a school uniform, sports uniform, and school supplies for a child aged 4 to 13 from a family that cannot afford these expenses. Several sponsors have been supporting "their" child for years.

Start an action

Birthday, anniversary, or party? Ask for a donation to a good cause instead of gifts. Or organize an event with your sports club, school, or neighborhood association and donate (a part of) the proceeds.

Leaving a legacy to the foundation

You can also include Domino Foundation in your will. This way, your legacy will change the future of children in the Dominican Republic.

SponsorKliks

You can also support the foundation through Sponsorkliks. You make your purchases at your trusted online store, you pay nothing extra, but Domino Foundation receives a percentage of your purchase. Your purchase remains completely anonymous to us.

Buy a souvenir

The sales page features items whose profits go to the foundation. You order via the form and pick up the goods in Puerto Plata with cash — shipping is possible upon request.

Send a box with Domino Shipping

Ship a jumbo box from the Netherlands to family or friends in the Dominican Republic. The profit from each shipment goes entirely to the foundation.

Business sponsorship

Supporting a good cause fits well with corporate social responsibility. Sponsor a project, provide goods, or organize a campaign with your company. We are happy to think along with you and ensure visibility for the collaboration.

Donate goods

Prefer giving items instead of money? We can really use school supplies, toiletries, and medical equipment.

Tax benefit thanks to ANBI status

Domino Foundation has been designated as a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI) by the Dutch Tax Authorities (RSIN 862433022). As a result, your donation may be tax-deductible under certain conditions when filing your income tax return. For recurring donations of five years or more, your donation is even fully deductible, without a threshold.

Is mijn donatie fiscaal aftrekbaar?

Yes. Domino Foundation has been designated as a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI) by the Dutch Tax Authorities under RSIN 862433022. Donations to an ANBI are tax-deductible under certain conditions when filing your income tax return.

Hoe weet ik dat mijn donatie goed terechtkomt?

We do not give cash to families. We personally go to the store with each child and a parent or guardian to buy the school uniform and school supplies. The board receives no compensation, and in our annual reports you can see exactly what comes in and how it is spent.
