A Special Christmas for Children in Puerto Plata

Free Clothing and Toy Market at the Manguito School

Christmas is a time of togetherness, gifts, and enjoying each other's company. Unfortunately, this is not a given for every child. That’s why, just before Christmas, we are organizing a festive clothing and toy market at the Manguito School in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

A New Christmas Outfit for Every Child

During this special Christmas market, every child can choose five items of clothing and/or pairs of shoes for free. This way, the children can put together a beautiful outfit to wear during the Christmas holidays.

In addition, there will be tables full of toys. Each child can pick out a Christmas present for themselves. This is a special moment, as for many children, receiving clothing or toys is not something they can take for granted.

To make it a real Christmas celebration, we will also provide tasty snacks and a popcorn machine. This will make it a joyful day full of happy faces, fun, and wonderful memories.

Donations from the Netherlands and Around the World

All clothing, shoes, and toys are made possible by generous donors. A large part of the items is collected in the Netherlands, where our foundation is based. These donations are then shipped to the Dominican Republic with the help of Domino Shipping.

Tourists from all over the world also contribute. They bring clothing, shoes, and toys in their suitcases when they come on holiday to the Dominican Republic.

If we do not have enough clothing or toys, we try to use our limited financial resources to buy extra items. This way, we do everything we can to ensure that no child has to go home empty-handed.

Together We Make Christmas Special

Thanks to all the donations and the efforts of our foundation, we can give children who have less an unforgettable Christmas. It’s not just about clothing and gifts, but above all about the feeling that someone is thinking of them.

Because every child deserves a wonderful Christmas, a present, and a big smile!

For €105, a child receives a complete school uniform, sportswear, and all school supplies for an entire school year. Smaller amounts are also very welcome.
